Mindfulness in the medical world
Introducing meditation and mindfulness to a room full of doctors
Birmingham University Medical School
28 March, 2019
Growing up I always wanted to be a Doctor, so it was brilliant today to be invited to Birmingham University Medical School to give a talk about the value of mindfulness, breathing and meditation as part of their wellbeing and lifestyle medicine day.
Over the past 18 months I’ve been very lucky to work with the Royal College of General Practioners, British Medical Association and some amazing doctors who are leading the conversation about the value of Lifestyle Medicine. It’s always humbling to step into a medical lecture hall with a room of GP’s, NHS staff and medical students to share, and it’s great to see how well it’s received. The healthcare industry is changing for the better.
Thank you to Dc Alison Sabine for organising the day and Dr Rangan Chatterjee for the invitation. Looking forward to continuing this conversation in the UK and beyond.
